About

Compassionate, faith-informed psychiatric care for the whole person.

One of the most courageous steps we can take for ourselves is opening up about our mental health symptoms and the internal struggles we are experiencing. Peaceful Mind Psychiatric is here to walk that journey with you.

1
A calling born from community.

Peaceful Mind Psychiatric was founded on a simple but urgent belief — that mental health care should meet people where they are, with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and clinical excellence. That belief grew out of years of primary care work in underserved communities across Philadelphia, where the connection between untreated mental health and declining physical health was impossible to ignore. Patients were struggling — not because help didn't exist, but because the right kind of care was hard to find.Peaceful Mind exists to close that gap. To provide psychiatric care that sees the whole person — their history, their values, their faith, and their goals — and builds treatment around all of it.

Growing up between two worlds

Rooted in the immigrant experience and shaped by Philadelphia communities, Peaceful Mind brings a deep understanding of how culture, identity, and life experience intersect with mental health.

Finding the missing piece
Plus Icon

Psychiatric care often goes undertreated — not because people don't seek help, but because therapy alone isn't always enough. Medication management, when done thoughtfully, can be the piece that makes everything else possible.

Answering the call

Peaceful Mind was built for the patients who have been trying — and haven't yet found the right support. Board-certified, evidence-based, and deeply personal in approach.

If mental health symptoms are disrupting your daily life — your relationships, your work, your sense of self — and therapy or other interventions haven't been enough, medication management may be the missing piece.

Those seeking faith-integrated psychiatric care

For patients who desire it, care can incorporate Christian values, prayerful reflection, and a biblical perspective alongside evidence-based treatment. This is always patient-led and never imposed.

How care here feels.

Collaborative, unhurried, and grounded in who you actually are — not a diagnosis on a chart.

Person-centered from the first visit
Plus Icon

Your treatment plan is built around your history, your goals, and your values — not a template. I draw from person-centered care, motivational interviewing, and strength-based approaches to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you want to be.

Evidence-based, not one-size-fits-all
Plus Icon

Every recommendation I make is grounded in current evidence and tailored to your specific situation. What works for one patient may not work for another — and I take that seriously.

Faith-integrated care available for those who want it
Plus Icon

As a Christian and a clinician, I believe healing involves caring for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. For patients who desire it, I offer Christ-centered care that incorporates Christian values alongside sound psychiatric treatment. This is always patient-led and never required.

Savuol Ngo

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and a licensed Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP). I was born in Vietnam, and my family immigrated to the United States as refugees. I was raised in Philadelphia, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Holy Family University.

I completed my Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner training at New York University and provided primary and inpatient medical care to underserved communities throughout Philadelphia. During this time, I recognized a recurring and concerning pattern: many patients suffered from significant mental and emotional distress that was either unrecognized or inadequately treated, contributing to worsening physical health and diminished quality of life.

This realization led me to pursue advanced training in psychiatry. I earned my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. As I transitioned into psychiatric practice, I found my true calling in caring for individuals across the lifespan who are navigating complex mental health challenges.

Board-certified. Dually trained. Deeply experienced.

Designed for people who want a calmer, healthier way to move through work, relationships, and everyday life.

Questions?

Whether you're new to psychiatric care or have been navigating it for years, you may have questions. Here are some common ones.

Are you currently accepting new patients?

Yes. I am currently accepting new patients in both Delaware, Pennsylvania and Washington State. In-person and telehealth appointments are available in Delaware. Telehealth only in Pennsylvania & Washington State.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. I accept several major insurance plans in Delaware, Pennslyvania and Washington State. Private pay is also available — $300 for a new patient intake and $275 for follow-up visits. Contact us to verify your specific plan.

What happens at my first appointment?

Your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric intake where we talk through your symptoms, history, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to change. It's a conversation, not a checklist. By the end you'll have a clear plan of next steps.

Do you offer faith-based care?

Yes. For patients who desire it, I offer Christ-centered, faith-integrated psychiatric care that incorporates Christian values alongside evidence-based treatment. This is always patient-led and never imposed. All patients are welcomed regardless of belief or background.
